Hi, Ken, I've just read your latest posting on the CATARENA site. Wow! I find it incredible that given Arrowcroft's past record, no one within the present Council has had the courage to challenge legally the unfair terms and conditions of a contract wilfully and, seemingly, irresponsibly agreed by a member of the previous administration.
Why are we being saddled with this albatross?

Ian,
Thanks for your message.
Many people that I have met have wondered the same thing!

Ken, Warehouse Fiasco. Arrowcroft's legal obligation to provide a 5 year business plan and viability report was apparently signed away just before election. What hypocrisy of them to insist on various obligations from the Warehouse including providing a "business plan demonstrating to ARROWCROFT's satisfaction" that the theatre would be viable. Especially when with only a handfull of sell-out events expected per year, would the Arena itself be viable? Nicholas Hai (Arrowcroft) is quoted as saying that the Warehouse has always been welcome in their development. More hypocrisy ? How many years has it taken to provide a proposed site in their scheme, and THAT lacks essential facilities, and is out of the way with an unsuitable bar or restaurant frontage! If the Warehouse has to shut for three years it's doubtful if it could re-open again. But perhaps that's the reality of Arrowcroft's plan !

It is fair to say that no one trusts either the council or Arrowcroft when it comes to their promises wrt the Warehouse.
Quite why the council insists on damaging its reputation in this manner is beyond me.
